Softball Recap: C.B. Aycock Has No Trouble Against West Johnston

C.B. Aycock barely beat West Johnston the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Golden Falcons blew past the Wildcats 9-1 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Golden Falcons, who have now won four games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Avery Fricks spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits. Those hits were her first of the season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Paisley Mooring, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Nikayla Weaver was another key player, scoring four runs while going 3-for-4.

Mooring wasn't the only one making solid contact: C.B. Aycock kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.
