Football Recap: Maud Starts Season with Loss at Home

Maud unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 41-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawkins Hawks on Friday. The Cardinals lost against the Hawks in their previous head to head back in August of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 74-16 score last time.

Looking ahead, Maud will take on Elysian Fields at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hawkins, they are taking a road trip to take on Bowie at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
