Basketball Recap: Miller Grove Takes a Loss

Miller Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were dealt a 56-15 defeat at the hands of the Mildred Eagles. The match marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Ashton Moore was a one-man wrecking crew for Mildred as he posted 13 points along with seven assists and seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brennan Moore, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 boards.

Miller Grove's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Mildred, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Miller Grove didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 50-38 defeat against Christian Home Educators on the 10th. As for Mildred, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 69-45 loss against Chisum on the 6th.
