Brown County typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Greenfield/Northwestern proved too difficult a challenge. They skirted past the Hornets 5-3. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hornets, too.

Wyatt Stuart made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Stuart was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Garrett Costello, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Greenfield/Northwestern now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Brown County, with the defeat, they broke their nine-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenfield/Northwestern will head out to challenge Pawnee at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Brown County, they will venture away from home to take on West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
