Soccer Game Preview: South Eugene vs. Grants Pass

The South Eugene Axe will take on the Grants Pass Cavemen at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

South Eugene's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Roseburg as they made off with a 4-0 victory. Considering South Eugene have won three matches by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, neither Grants Pass nor Willamette could gain the upper hand on Monday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

South Eugene is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four matchups. Grants Pass' draw makes their record 1-1-5 this season.
