Volleyball Recap: Hemet Triumphs

Hemet's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They skirted past the Moreno Valley Vikings 3-2. The victory was some much needed relief for the Bulldogs as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Hemet had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 19-25, 25-19, 26-24, 15-12.

Hemet's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 6-17. As for Moreno Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hemet is set to take on their familiar foe Citrus Hill at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Moreno Valley will challenge rival Liberty at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
