Volleyball Game Preview: Wayne Blue Devils vs. West Point-Beemer Cadets

The Wayne Blue Devils are taking a road trip to square off against the West Point-Beemer Cadets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Wayne has four straight victories, West Point-Beemer has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Wayne saw some tournament action on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard].

Wayne not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] between 16 and 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-16.

Meanwhile, West Point-Beemer came up short against North Bend Central on Thursday and fell 3-1.

West Point-Beemer started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-18, 25-18, 25-23.

Wayne's victory bumped their record up to 13-8. As for West Point-Beemer, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Wayne beat West Point-Beemer 2-0 when the teams last played on September 4th. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Cadets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
