Basketball Recap: Wingate Gets the Win

Wingate hadn't done well against Grants recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Wingate Bears had just enough and edged the Grants Pirates out 47-44. The win was some much needed relief for the Bears as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Wingate's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Grants, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wingate will challenge Crownpoint at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Grants, they are taking a road trip to face off against Valencia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
