Basketball Game Preview: Clearfield Bison vs. Bald Eagle Area Eagles

The Clearfield Bison will venture away from home to square off against the Bald Eagle Area Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Clearfield's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Clearfield is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2025 than the 87-40 stomp they got against Chestnut Ridge. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bison's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Lions are ranked 489th).

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Bald Eagle Area against West Branch on Saturday as the team secured a 58-29 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

Bald Eagle Area's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Clearfield, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.

Clearfield came out on top in a nail-biter against Bald Eagle Area in their previous meeting back in January of 2025, sneaking past 43-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bison since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
