 Murphysboro pushed their score all the way to ten on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell victim to a  rough 16-10 defeat at the hands of the Munster Mustangs. Murphysboro has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Sam Herring made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with four  RBI and two  doubles. Another player making a difference was  Trey Gillespie, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-5.
 On Munster's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Cappetto Bishop, who  went 2-for-3 with a  triple and  an  RBI.
 Murphysboro's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Munster,  the  win  made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 3-1.
 Murphysboro will head out on the road to  challenge  Highland at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Highland is on a four-game streak of home wins, Murphysboro a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. Munster will take on Hobart at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday.
