After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pleasant Grove, Van was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Bullard Panthers by a score of 12-8. For the Vandals, this counts as revenge for the 6-1 win the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Braiden Peyton was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Asher Hawkins was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Rawly Hinch was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

Van kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Van is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. Bullard's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7-1.
