Baseball Game Preview: Centennial Eagles vs. John Carroll Catholic Golden Rams

The Centennial Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the John Carroll Catholic Golden Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Centennial and Martin County, and Martin County kept the tradition alive. The Eagles came up short against the Tigers on Monday, falling 8-0.

Centennial saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marcos Bencosme, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for John Carroll Catholic's offense. They lost 10-0 to South Fork on Wednesday. The Golden Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

John Carroll Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12-2.

Centennial beat John Carroll Catholic 3-0 when the teams last played back in March of 2025. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Golden Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
