Football Recap: Chandler Wins High-Profile Matchup Against Williams Field + How To Watch

Chandler faced Williams Field in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Wolves walked away with a 27-14 win over the Black Hawks. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.

It was another big night for Will Mencl, who rushed for 73 yards and two TDs, and also threw for 252 yards and one touchdown while completing 76.2% of his passes. Those 73 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Another reason for the win was Chandler's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. Cau'Re Smith was especially locked on to Williams Field's QB and sacked him twice. Smith also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with seven.

Dominick Barjona and Courshawn Hill certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Barjona threw for 266 yards while picking up 12.1 yards per attempt, while Hill gained 117 total yards and two touchdowns. A healthy portion of Barjona's aerial production (107 yards to be exact) went to Trey Smith.

Chandler's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Williams Field, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
