With a playoff win on the line, Mountain View rose to the challenge on Friday. Everything went their way against the Cedar Reds as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Bruins as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Nicholas Nelson paced Mountain View's offense, picking up 12 kills. Nelson got some help from Adam Maya and his 30 assists. Maya also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Henry Hulse, each putting up two.

When it comes to explaining why Cedar lost, don't look at Wiley Gunn. Despite the final result, he had ten digs and one assist. Gunn is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Mountain View's win bumped their record up to 22-5. As for Cedar, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-16.

Mountain View didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Snow Canyon on the 8th. As for Cedar, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Timpanogos on the 8th.
