Basketball Game Preview: Dover-Sherborn Raiders vs. Norton Lancers

The Dover-Sherborn Raiders will venture away from home to take on the Norton Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Dover-Sherborn took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They took down Dennis-Yarmouth Regional 44-30. The win was some much needed relief for the Raiders as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Norton had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came out on top against the Rocketeers by a score of 54-43. The Lancers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Dover-Sherborn's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Norton, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Things could have been worse for Dover-Sherborn, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 69-54 loss to Norton in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Dover-Sherborn avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
