Cheyenne Mountain gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Pueblo West Cyclones 5-4. The Red-Tailed Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cyclones, too.

Looking ahead, Cheyenne Mountain is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Durango at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pueblo West, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Denver East at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Pueblo West has played (dating back to last season) have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
