Basketball Recap: Charlotte Secondary Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Charlotte Secondary kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 72-14 defeat at the hands of the Lab University Prep Varsity Kings.

Lab University Prep Varsity's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaleel Brown, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. Those ten boards gave Brown a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Dukes, who posted ten points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

Lab University Prep Varsity's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-11.

Charlotte Secondary does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lab University Prep Varsity, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 79-70 win against Walnut Grove Christian on the 27th.
