Soccer Game Preview: Crestwood vs. Wilson

The Crestwood Knights will challenge the Wilson Tigers at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Wilson better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Crestwood's game on Wednesday is any indication, that's when Crestwood really gets things going. The Knights' defense stepped up to hand Darlington a 6-0 shutout. It was an even better day for Jorge Hernandez-Lara as he scored four goals for his team.

Meanwhile, Wilson's contest on Friday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. Everything went their way against Lakewood as they made off with a 4-1 victory. The result was nothing new for Wilson, who have now won four games by three goals or more so far this season.

The win was the third in a row for Wilson, bringing their record up to 5-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three matches. As for Crestwood, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Crestwood came out on top in a nail-biter against Wilson in their previous matchup back in March, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
