Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Tintic + How To Watch

Tintic hadn't done well against St. Joseph recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Miners came out on top against the Jayhawks by a score of 3-1. Winning may never get old, but the Miners sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Tintic had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-19.

Tintic's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ani Despain, who had 17 digs and one assist. Despain has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last seven times she's played. Kyah Farr was another key player, getting nine digs and three aces.

Tintic was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Tintic's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for St. Joseph, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
