The Lakota Tech Tatanka scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past St. Francis Indian 94-66 at home. The victory was just what Lakota Tech needed coming off of a 85-47 defeat in their prior contest.
Lakota Tech's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gilbert White Jr., who scored 25 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Riley Casey, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.
Despite the loss, St. Francis Indian still got an impressive performance from Ethan Spotted Tail, who scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Spotted Tail has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Larvie, who scored 14 points.
The win got Lakota Tech back to even at 9-9. As for St. Francis Indian, they dropped their record down to 8-11 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Lakota Tech will be playing in front of their home fans against White River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Francis Indian will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against McLaughlin at 3:30 p.m. on February 23rd.
