Baseball Recap: St. Joseph's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Thursday

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four games, St. Joseph finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They lost 9-0 to the Old Bridge Knights. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Falcons were not able to get on the board.

St. Joseph moved to 4-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Old Bridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. St. Joseph is set to challenge their familiar foe East Brunswick at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Old Bridge will face off against rival Monroe Township at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Knights 3.8, the Falcons 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
