Hempfield Area came into Friday's game looking for another win against Norwin, but Giovanni Rothrauff wouldn't allow it. The Knights came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 33-26 on Friday thanks in part to Rothrauff, who rushed for 188 yards and two scores while picking up 9.0 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 67 yards.

Norwin didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jake Knight and Zack Pawling.

The win made it two in a row for Norwin and bumps their season record up to 5-2. As for Hempfield Area, they dropped their record down to 4-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Norwin will take on rival Central Catholic at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Hempfield Area is set to challenge their familiar foe Seneca Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
