Southern Nash was the 3-0 winner over Bunn when they last played one another back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Firebirds fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The loss was the Firebirds' first of the season.

Southern Nash took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-10, 23-25, 25-21, 15-6.

Despite the defeat, Southern Nash saw an underclassman step up: freshman Addison Spivey had 16 digs.

Southern Nash's loss dropped their record down to 14-1. As for Bunn, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Southern Nash didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Hunt on the 30th. As for Bunn, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against American Leadership Academy-Johnston on the 1st.
