Basketball Recap: Jack Silberstein's Big Game Can't Quite Lead San Diego Jewish Academy over Army-Navy

San Diego Jewish Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a 51-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Army-Navy Warriors. The Lions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jack Silberstein, who posted 14 points along with seven boards and seven blocks. That's the most blocks Silberstein has posted since back in January of 2024. Adam Tal was another key player, going 5 for 12 on his way to 12 points.

Even though they lost, San Diego Jewish Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

San Diego Jewish Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Army-Navy, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-6.

San Diego Jewish Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 79-39 defeat against Tri-City Christian on the 9th. As for Army-Navy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-36 victory against Bishop's on the 9th.
