Softball Recap: Winton Woods Starts Season with Loss at Home

Winton Woods unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the West Clermont Wolves on Monday, falling 16-1. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 17 in a row.

Winton Woods saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amena Greene, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

The victory got West Clermont back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Winton Woods will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Middletown Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Clermont, they will square off against Milford at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Wolves surely won't give up without a fight.
