Soccer Recap: Fishers Takes Down Anderson in a Playoff Battle

With a playoff win on the line, Fishers rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They never let the Anderson Indians get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. Considering Fishers' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

They hit Anderson with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jack Butts, Santiago Urdaneta, Hudson Frazo, and Pierce Haynie.

The win made it two in a row for Fishers and bumps their season record up to 10-4-4. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matches. As for Anderson, they moved to 14-4 with that loss, which also ended their seven-match winning streak.

Looking ahead, Fishers will face off against Hamilton Southeastern at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hamilton Southeastern's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Anderson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
