Softball Recap: Rio Rancho Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Rio Rancho won against Farmington last Wednesday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Rams beat the Volcano Vista Hawks by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-3. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Rio Rancho's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Volcano Vista, they now have a losing record of 8-9.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Rio Rancho will face off against rival Cibola at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Volcano Vista is set to challenge their familiar foe Farmington at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
