Baseball Recap: Schoolhouse Prep Gets the Win

Schoolhouse Prep lost to Dade Christian back in March of 2025, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Wolfpack had just enough and edged out the Warriors 7-6.

Kaeno Hinkel made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hinkel was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with four stolen bases and three runs. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.

Hinkel wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Aguilar, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Fransisco Mejias also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Schoolhouse Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Schoolhouse Prep's record now sits at 9-7. As for Dade Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Schoolhouse Prep will challenge Piper at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dade Christian, they will face off against Belen Jesuit at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolverines have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
