Soccer Game Preview: Booker vs. Seminole

The Booker Tornadoes will challenge the Seminole Warhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Booker's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Booker is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Bayshore a 1-0 shutout. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Tornadoes as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Seminole had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three last Thursday. Everything went their way against the Patriots as they made off with an 8-0 win. Considering the Warhawks have won eight games by more than three goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Pinellas Park from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Katelyn Tallbacka led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by herself.

Seminole has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 56 goals over those 11 matches. As for Booker, their victory bumped their record up to 3-8-1.
