Basketball Recap: Lotus School For Excellence Takes a Loss

Lotus School For Excellence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Altamont Longhorns 58-23. That's two games in a row now that the Meteors have lost by exactly 35 points.

Anngie Guerra was Lotus School For Excellence's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Zion Johnson held things down on the boards with six rebounds.

Lotus School For Excellence's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Altamont, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lotus School For Excellence will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Liberty Tree Academy on January 14, 2025. As for Altamont, they will challenge Pinnacle at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Pinnacle's defense has only allowed 27.7 points per game this season, so Altamont's offense will have their work cut out for them.
