With a playoff win on the line, First Assembly Christian Academy rose to the challenge on Friday. They escaped with a win against the Faith Baptist Christian Academy Crusaders by the margin of a single free throw, 49-48. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

It was another big night for Sean James, who went 12-for-17 on his way to 26 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. BJ Paige was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Despite the loss, Faith Baptist Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Aidan Massey, who posted 13 points in addition to seven boards and five assists. Another player making a difference was Angel Santiago, who scored six points.

First Assembly Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 22-6. As for Faith Baptist Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-13.
