Basketball Game Preview: Orangeville Broncos vs. Pecatonica Indians

The Orangeville Broncos are taking a road trip to challenge the Pecatonica Indians at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Orangeville is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.

Last Friday, Orangeville blew past Forreston, posting a 49-9 win. The Broncos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Pecatonica entered their game against Byron on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Pecatonica took a 54-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Byron. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Tigers are ranked 13th).

Orangeville pushed their record up to 25-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.6 points over those games. As for Pecatonica, their loss dropped their record down to 24-5.

Things could have been worse for Orangeville, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 40-24 loss to Pecatonica when the teams last played back in January. Can Orangeville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
