Pittsburg is 9-1 against Antioch since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Pirates will welcome the Panthers  at 4:00  p.m. Pittsburg is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2  runs per game  this season.
Pittsburg's pitching crew heads into the  game  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Thursday. They blew past Deer Valley 20-0. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive  win against them.

 Ty Thompson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  strikeouts (five). He was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in four of his six plate appearances with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run.
 In other pitching news,  Desmond Toomer looked comfortable as he  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances.
 Back at the plate,  Diego Deluna was a standout: he got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. That  triple marked the first that  he has  hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Paul Salazar, who  went 3-for-4 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and one  stolen base.
 Pittsburg  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .612. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Antioch might've scored the first runs on Thursday, but it was Heritage who claimed the real prize. The Panthers came up short against  the Patriots, falling  7-1. The Panthers have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.
 Antioch saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Jaxon Connelly, who  went 2-for-4 with one  run and one  double.
 Pittsburg's victory bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Antioch, their loss dropped their record down to 8-14.
 Everything went Pittsburg's way against Antioch in their previous matchup  back in May of 2024, as Pittsburg made off with  a  14-2 win. Do  the Pirates have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
