Temple Christian was dealt a 59-28 defeat at the hands of Victory Baptist Academy on Thursday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Temple Christian in their matchups with Victory Baptist Academy: they've now lost four in a row.
Victory Baptist Academy was led to victory by Hudson Ruhl and Isaac Johnson. Ruhl scored 21 points along with five steals, while Johnson dropped a double-double on 13 points and 26 rebounds. Johnson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 17 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Vinnie Catuto, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Temple Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Victory Baptist Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.
