Volleyball Recap: Nease Panthers vs. St. Augustine Yellow Jackets
Nease was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Augustine Yellow Jackets. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Yellow Jackets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.
Nease took a 1-1 lead headed into the third set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-21, 20-25, 25-21, 26-24.
Nease's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for St. Augustine, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season.
Nease will stay at home for another game and welcome Bartram Trail at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Augustine, they will head out to take on Clay at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both are at an even 4-4 against one another since October of 2015, but likely not for long.
