Football Recap: Anderson Victorious + How To Watch

On Friday Anderson's undefeated season almost came to an end. They had just enough and edged out the A&M Consolidated Tigers 42-40. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered a 56-28 loss the last time these two teams met.

Caleb Crenshaw had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 206 yards and three scores. Crenshaw is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 104 every time he's taken the field this season.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Anderson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 319 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as A&M Consolidated only rushed for 109.

Despite the defeat, A&M Consolidated saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Holt Goodwin threw for 238 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in one TD on the ground. A healthy portion of Goodwin's aerial production (108 yards to be exact) went to Cooper Johnson.

Anderson's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for A&M Consolidated, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2.

Coincidentally, Anderson and A&M Consolidated will both be playing Lehman the next time they take the field. The Trojans will host the Lobos at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Tigers will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on October 9.
