Preview: Pleasanton Eagles vs. Carrizo Springs Wildcats

Pleasanton is 7-2 against Carrizo Springs since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Pleasanton Eagles will be home for the holidays to greet the Carrizo Springs Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Pleasanton is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

On Tuesday, Pleasanton didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Blanco, but they still walked away with a 41-36 victory. 41 seems to be a good number for Pleasanton as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Even though Carrizo Springs has not done well against Del Rio recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Carrizo Springs managed a 46-42 victory over Del Rio.

Carrizo Springs got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ysella Hinojosa out in front who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Hinojosa hasn't dropped below two blocks for 12 straight games. Another player making a difference was Melanie Davila, who scored 14 points along with five assists and five steals.

Pleasanton has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-11 record this season. As for Carrizo Springs, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-7.
