Baseball Recap: Boys Ranch Comes Up Short

Boys Ranch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 13-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Follett Panthers. Even if the Roughriders couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Zeke Holman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Cam Yarbrough, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one RBI.

Boys Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Follett, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-3.

While Boys Ranch had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
