Volleyball Game Preview: Borden Braves vs. Charlestown Pirates

Borden is 2-8 against Charlestown since September of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Braves will venture away from home to challenge the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Borden came up short against Eastern on Thursday, falling 3-0.

Kinley Ledbetter put forth a good effort for the losing side as she had nine digs.

Meanwhile, Charlestown suffered their biggest loss since September 16th on Monday. They lost 3-0 to New Albany. The defeat continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost six in a row.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-6, 25-11.

Charlestown's loss dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Borden, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 15-8.

Borden beat Charlestown 3-1 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Braves since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
