It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Evangel Christian Academy had no problem doing just that on Friday. They put the hurt on the Cheraw Wolverines with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

Evangel Christian Academy never let Cheraw on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22, 25-21.

Evangel Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Bailey Roberts, who had 12 digs.

Evangel Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in five consecutive matchups.

Evangel Christian Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. As for Cheraw, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-10.
