Lincoln had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They slipped by the Marysville Indians 61-60. The Fighting Zebras have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians, too.

Lincoln's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jacob Butler led the charge by putting up eight points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Triton Cox, who went 5 of 7 en route to 14 points.

Marysville lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Javeyon Brown, who posted nine points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Witt, who had 11 points.

Lincoln's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for Marysville, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 14-6.

Lincoln has already played their next matchup, an 87-61 victory against Center on the 24th. As for Marysville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 72-37 win against Wheatland on the 24th.
