Softball Recap: Octorara Area Comes Up Short

Kennett hit Octorara Area with a four-run seventh inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Braves came up short against the Blue Demons, falling 12-3. The Braves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Demons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Octorara Area saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Devyn Harrington, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Octorara Area's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Kennett, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Octorara Area will host Annville-Cleona at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Braves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dutchmen have averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season. As for Kennett, they will square off against Unionville at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
