Volleyball Recap: Andrew Takes a Loss

Andrew and Lincoln-Way East squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Andrew had to settle for second. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Griffins. The Thunderbolts have struggled against the Griffins recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-16.

Scott Dinnon paced Andrew's offense, picking up eight kills. Dinnon got some help from Sean Gagen and his 13 assists.

Andrew's defeat dropped their record down to 15-23. As for Lincoln-Way East, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-6 record this season.

Andrew does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lincoln-Way East, they will head out to square off against Lincoln-Way Central at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
