Basketball Game Preview: St. Francis DeSales Stallions vs. St. Charles Cardinals

The St. Francis DeSales Stallions will take on the St. Charles Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

St. Francis DeSales is headed into the game having just suffered their closest defeat since January 19, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Lincoln by a score of 56-53. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Stallions came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 56th, while the Lions are ranked 311th).

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, St. Charles beat Canal Winchester 49-43 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.

St. Charles pushed their record up to 5-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for St. Francis DeSales, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

Everything went St. Francis DeSales' way against St. Charles when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as St. Francis DeSales made off with a 59-36 win. Will St. Francis DeSales repeat their success, or does St. Charles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
