Wildwood put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 52-33 victory over the Mount Dora Christian Academy Bulldogs. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Bulldogs are ranked 89th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Wildwood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kayla Lyde, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds. Lyde is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Zoey Brown, who went 7-for-17 en route to 15 points and five steals.

Wildwood smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Despite the defeat, Mount Dora Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aranya Alexander posted 17 points and five boards.

Wildwood's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-0. As for Mount Dora Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.

Wildwood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 79-22 victory against Chiefland on the 6th. As for Mount Dora Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 54-11 win against Trinity Christian Academy on the 6th.
