Softball Recap: St. Joseph Flyers vs. The Woodlands Christian Academy Warriors
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but St. Joseph had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past The Woodlands Christian Academy Warriors 4-2. The win was nothing new for St. Joseph as they're now sitting on 13 straight.
Shayne Meismer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 15 consecutive pitching appearances.
On the hitting side, Aleyna St Jean was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, a triple, and a run.
St. Joseph pushed their record up to 35-4-1 with that victory, which was their 11th straight on the road. As for The Woodlands Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 17-4.
