Basketball Recap: Ledyard Colonels vs. Windham Whippets
Ledyard lost against Windham back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Ledyard Colonels fell to the Windham Whippets 60-56. The Colonels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Leading Windham to victory were Malcolm Hunter and Anden Gonzalez. Hunter went 6 of 10 on his way to 17 points along with seven assists and three blocks, while Gonzalez went 6 for 13 en route to 16 points. Hunter's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadiel Crespo, who posted 11 points.
Ledyard now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Windham, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-2.
Ledyard will head out to square off against Griswold at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ledyard has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 195 points over their last three contests. As for Windham, they will challenge Waterford at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
