Soccer Game Preview: Lely vs. Oasis

The Lely Trojans will challenge the Oasis Sharks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lely is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4 goals per game this season.

Lely's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victor by an 8-0 margin over Dunbar. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won five contests by four goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Dunbar from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Stive Argueta led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Oasis fell victim to Bonita Springs and their airtight defense on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bullsharks. The Sharks haven't had much luck with the Bullsharks recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Lely is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those four matches. As for Oasis, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
