Riverside Prep and Servite squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Riverside Prep had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Friars by a score of 1-0. The Silver Knights' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Jacob Villegas was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

Riverside Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 19-8. As for Servite, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-13.

Riverside Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Servite, they will face off against Canyon at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
