Basketball Game Preview: Woodstock Blue Streaks vs. Woodstock North Thunder

The Woodstock Blue Streaks will venture away from home to face off against the Woodstock North Thunder at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Woodstock lost 53-30 to Genoa-Kingston on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Blue Streaks have suffered against the Cogs since January 14, 2017.

Meanwhile, Woodstock North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 54-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Marengo. That's two games in a row now that the Thunder have lost by exactly 13 points.

Woodstock North's loss dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Woodstock, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season.

Woodstock was able to grind out a solid victory over Woodstock North when the teams last played back in January, winning 51-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for Woodstock since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
